For the last four years, the team behind Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag has been crafting a new beginning for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed Origins.
Ubisoft Montreal is the lead studio behind Assassin’s Creed Origins. At its core, the team is composed of some of the same developers as the ones who worked on the acclaimed Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. Ubisoft Sofia, Ubisoft Singapore, Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Chengdu, Ubisoft Bucharest, Ubisoft Kiev and the Sperasoft studio are also collaborating on the development.
Let's discover together who are the faces behind this so long awaited game!
GAME DIRECTOR Ashraf Ismail - Ubisoft Montreal
Ashraf started his career as a programmer at Electronic Arts working on the FIFA franchise.
After a few years he followed his passion and switched to the design aspect of development working on Champion’s League and EA Skate.
Since joining Ubisoft he has worked on Prince of Persia, and then became Game Director for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Origins.
SENIOR CREATIVE DIRECTOR Jean Guesdon - Ubisoft Montreal

A Game Designer on Assassin’s Creed 2, Jean was then put in charge of the content of the franchise for the next 2 years. Being one of the key members of the franchise he was deeply involved in the conception of all AC games on all platforms as well as novels, comics, short movies and licensing.
From 2012 to 2014, Jean was the Creative Director of the critical and commercial success Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.

Raphaël Lacoste was the Art Director at Ubisoft on such titles as Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed, winning a VES Award in February 2006 for his work on the "Two Thrones" cut scene from Prince of Persia.
Wanting to challenge himself in the film industry, Raphaël stepped away from the game industry for a few years to work as a Matte Painter and Senior Concept Artist on such feature films as Terminator Salvation, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Death Race, Immortals 2011, Repo Men, Jupiter Ascending...
As of 2009, Raphael has returned to the video game industry, working as a Senior Art Director for Electronic Arts Montreal and now for Ubisoft, as Franchise Art Director on the Assassin’s Creed Franchise. He was the Art Director for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.
FRANCHISE HISTORIAN Maxime Durand - Ubisoft Montreal
Days after graduating in History from his hometown Université de Montréal in 2010, Maxime moved in directly at Ubisoft to work as the Assassin’s Creed franchise historian.
Making his grand debut with Assassin’s Creed III, he has collaborated on most games and projects of the brand ever since.
His main interest is to give the fans the best historic immersion through all game aspects. His unofficial task at work is to wear spandex between triathlon trainings.

He was associate producer on Assassin’s Creed 3: managing the design, missions, gameplay and pipeline teams. He shipped FarCry 4, overseeing the narrative, cinematics, characters and art teams, as well as the production of all demos and marketing events.
